Some people may use their sponge over, and over, and over again… Is your sponge just spreading more germs? Should you be cleaning the cleaning product?
YES!
Think of all the messes you clean up with a sponge: Food stains, beverage stains, chemical stains, etc. . If you aren’t washing your sponge, then it can become infested with bacteria, yeast, and mold. Using a dirty sponge will just spread these bacterias around the area you are cleaning.
YIKES!
Clean and dry your sponge after every use. The best method to cleaning your sponge is to zap it in the microwave. Make sure to wet the sponge, then put it in the microwave for 2-3 minutes. The microwave will destroy 99.9% of the bacteria that is on your sponge! Don’t have a microwave? Try disinfecting your sponge with a disinfecting spray or bleach. This will kill germs, as well!
