Listening to our customers’ needs may be the cornerstone of Apple Corps’ overall philosophy. Yet the driving force behind that philosophy is a belief that we can always improve. And we strive for that each and every day, from the top management position to our entry-level janitorial staff. Perhaps what makes Apple Corps most remarkable is that on most days we hit that mark.
That’s directly attributable to our staff out in the field. Apple Corps is a privately held, non-union company. Everybody undergoes a criminal and civil background check. Yet because we only hire cleaners that are personally referred to us by our existing employees, we experience minimal turnover. That means, with but a few exceptions, the same crew cleans and secures your building daily.
In addition to hiring top-notch cleaners, we take a number of steps to ensure quality control, such as:
- Supervisors conduct after-hours cleaning inspections to monitor our staff’s work.
- Computerized “special cleaning list” – This allows us to take a proactive approach to cleaning carpets, VCT and tile flooring and upholstery before the appearance of the surface deteriorates.
- Communication – We routinely conduct phone calls to all our customers twice a month and periodically make on-site visits to review the cleanliness.
- Customer Care Center – Our 24/7/365 tool for our customers to comment on the previous night’s work and make special requests.
Through close supervision and an established line of communication within the company and with our clients, Apple Corps has a system in place that enables us to consistently provide a superior level of service. And if we don’t, we want to hear about it.
