Stainless Steel is great to look at when it’s nice and clean but fingerprint smudges and stains certainly brings down the overall appearance. Here are tips for removing smudges and stains.
- Most smudges can be removed by simply using a soft cloth with warm water and rub the surface in the same direction as the stainless steel grain. Be sure to dry the surface with a soft cloth to avoid water marks.
- If warm water alone does not work, lightly apply glass cleaner to a soft cloth and rub the surface in the same direction as the stainless steel grain. Be sure to dry the surface with a soft cloth to avoid water marks.
- If warm water or glass cleaner does not fully remove the smudges or stains, use diluted liquid dish wash solution on a warm cloth and rub the surface in the same direction as the stainless steel grain. Be sure to dry the surface with a soft cloth to avoid water marks.
- If non of the above methods work, apply a liquid stainless steel cleaner to all the surfaces in order to keep a uniform appearance. Be sure to use a soft cloth to apply the cleaner and buff the surface in the same direction as the stainless steel grain.
