How to Clean a Restroom in Less Than 10 Minutes

May 14, 2013 by Devon

It’s important to always have clean restrooms in your office or facility. In order to maintain a clean restroom, they should be cared for on a weekly basis. But, depending on the size and occupancy of your facility, you may need your restrooms cleaned daily.

The trick to making your bathroom sparkle in record time is to keep organized and to establish a cleaning routine.

A quick and easy restroom cleaning routine looks like this…

  • Begin your restroom cleaning with a dusting. Use a feather duster to swipe the corners of the ceilings, ceiling vents, or fans.
  • Clean the mirror. Spray down using a Windex or mirror cleaner and wipe clean with a rag or paper towel.
  • Next, spritz down the bathtub/shower with a bleach or safe tile cleaning product. Let stand for a few minutes then wipe down with water and a sponge or rag.
  • Now head over to the restroom sinks and use a soft Clorox or similar powder disinfecting product. Sprinkle some into the sink and use water and a cleaning rag to wipe down the sink. A foaming disinfectant is a good product for sink counter tops. Scrub any mildew or stains that are on the counter tops!
  • Polish the steel. Use a little bit of baby oil or just a mirror cleaner to polish the sink faucet. It’s the perfect final touch to making your restroom look beautiful!
  • Pour some of the the Clorox inside the toilet bowl. Next, use a toilet bowl brush to scrub the inside of the bowl. Make sure to hit the inside of the rim and all areas. Use the foaming disinfectant to spray down the toilet seat cover, and all other areas of the toilet. Let sit for a minute and wipe down with a rag.
  • Take out the trash and replace with a new liner. Replenish toilet paper, paper towels, and soap as needed.
  • Sweep the floor and damp mop.

Congrats! You have successfully cleaned your restroom in record time.
